Records

‘Girl, put your records on…’ sang Corinne Bailey Rae a few years back. I remember reading the kids news page in the newspaper where someone would explain for the newest generations what ‘records’ mean. I remember being confused that you should need to explain that word. And realising at the same time that my own daughter is growing up now, and she might not know what records were neither.

Fast forward today, and vinyl is back with a vengeance! I can’t help but love it. Not only because we own a pick-up and put records on, which our daughter loves to do as well. Just because you can feel the warmth of music and voice. And guess what… Today was even Record Shop Day. Did not know that existed. In the city center were bands and musicians playing outside, signing records, having fun.

What a vibe! And what a lovely, soft warm sunny weather…. And there was an antique market and carriage riding too 🙂
